The entrance is in 3483 at 47, 51. Hellfire Citadel has three dungeons. Shattered Halls is the locked gate on the middle level. See image below:

Bosses

Stay awake for ground effects and the big “get out” moments. This fight punishes tunnel vision.

Grand Warlock Nethekurse Strategy

  • Move immediately out of 30744 ground zones.
  • When he casts 30502, step away so you do not get clipped.
  • Keep the group spread enough that one mistake does not chain into multiple deaths.
  • Heroic: standing in bad for even a moment is lethal. Treat every fissure as a one-shot.

Blood Guard Porung (Heroic only) Blood Guard Porung boss image from The Shattered Halls in TBC Classic

Heroic-only bonus boss after the gauntlet. If your group is stable through trash, Porung is mostly cleanup.

Blood Guard Porung Strategy

  • Tank him cleanly and keep him faced away from the group.
  • Watch for 15496 and heal through the burst.
  • Do not relax just because it feels like a tank-and-spank: Heroic tuning still hurts.

Threat swaps are the mechanic. If your tank can’t force control, your DPS has to play smart.

Warbringer O’mrogg Strategy

  • He is immune to taunt. Threat matters, and it matters fast.
  • Hold cooldowns briefly until tanks establish control, then commit.
  • If you rip threat, stop. Dead DPS does zero damage.
  • Heroic: 30598 hits much harder. Use defensives early.

Classic “move or die” with add pressure. If your group respects mechanics, this boss goes down clean.

Warchief Kargath Bladefist Strategy

  • Move away from 30739 and do not panic-run through extra packs.
  • Kill adds as they appear so your healer can breathe.
  • Keep the fight organized: messy movement is how people get clipped.
  • Heroic: everything hurts more. Rotate defensives and keep stuns/CC ready for add control.

Trash Overview

Trash TL;DR
  • Most enemies are Humanoid which means CC works: sheep, trap, sap, shackle, fear (carefully).
  • Prioritize mobs that call reinforcements and any hard-hitting melee. Dogs bite HARD.
  • Interrupt casters and move out of obvious ground effects (Rain of Fire, void zones, etc.).
  • Heroic: treat every extra pull as a wipe threat. Mark targets and pull patiently.
