Heroic Mana-Tombs Requirements

Heroic requires Level 70 and Revered with Lower City to buy 30633 from 21655.

29434 drops from each boss in Heroic and can be turned in to G’eras in Shattrath for extra epic rewards. The final boss also guarantees 23572.

These can be redeemed with Spirit Sage Zran in Allerian Stronghold (Alliance) / Spirit Sage Gartok in Stonebreaker Hold (Horde) for items, gems, and gear.

Bosses

The Dark Shell mechanic is critical: avoid injuring yourself when it’s active. Shadow Protection buffs and Potions can help with this fight.

Pandemonius Strategy

  • When Dark Shell is up, everyone stop attacking.
  • Void Blast is a knockback – it is advised to have all backs to walls.
  • Heroic: damage is much higher. Play it safe and wait until after each Dark Shell.

Pandemonius Abilities

Space out, and keep him faced away. Ranged stay 35 yards away.

Tavarok Strategy

  • Players who can should play 35+ yards away to avoid the Earthquake stun.
  • Tank: face him away so the group doesn’t take 32361.
  • He hits hard. Use defensives if you’re undergeared or healing is strained.
  • Heroic: adds extra punch and includes 38761, frontal cone attack.

Nexus-Prince Shaffar Nexus Prince Shaffar from Mana Tombs in TBC Classic

This is a target-swap check. If beacons live, the fight spirals. If beacons die instantly, Shaffar folds.

Nexus-Prince Shaffar Strategy

  • Swap immediately to 18431 when they spawn. Kill them ASAP.
  • Beacons melee their target and cast 15254.
  • After ~10 seconds, each beacon explodes and summons an 18430 (more HP, casts at random players).
  • Beacons are immune to stuns; Apprentices can be stunned and interrupted.
  • There are 3 beacons at the start and more appear during the fight. Your win condition is “beacons never live.”
  • Heroic: spell damage ramps. Kill beacons even faster and use defensives when you’re the target.

Yor (Heroic only) Yor boss image in Mana Tombs in TBC Classic

Optional Heroic-only summon. If you’re set up for it, it’s a clean “face away + don’t get stunned into chaos” fight.

Yor Strategy

  • Summon requirement: complete 10976 and obtain 32079 or 32092.
  • Tank: face Yor away from the party to avoid his frontal cone (Double Breath).
  • Watch for 36405 (stomp/stun). Don’t chain-pull trash near him.
  • Otherwise, it’s mostly tank-and-spank. Keep heals steady through the breaths.

Trash Overview

Trash TL;DR
  • Most enemies are Humanoid or Demon. Expect big caster pressure.
  • Use line-of-sight pulls. Don’t stand in the open eating charges and mana burns.
  • Kill priority is usually: healers > mana burn casters > heavy melees.
  • Heroic: avoid fear chain pulls. Pull Nexus Terrors alone and drop Tremor if you have it.

Common mobs:

  • 18317 (kill first, interrupt heals)
  • 18331 (mana burn pressure)
  • 18311 (dangerous charge / threat issues)
  • 18313 (heavy casts)
  • 19307 (pull alone, fear risk)
  • 18314 (gouge threat issues)
