• Most trash is Elemental and Humanoid.
• Pull count is relatively low (roughly ~20 pulls), and most packs are small. Marking and heavy CC usually is not required.
• Heroic: Nature damage can be spicy in here. Nature resist gear/pots can help smooth healer mana.

The Steamvault is inside Coilfang Reservoir in Zangarmarsh. The entrance to the reservoir is around 50, 33. Swim down into the pipes, follow the tunnels, then take the middle portal of the three dungeon entrances.

Most groups run Normal Steamvault in the late 60s, and it is also a very common run at level 70 for gearing up. Heroic requires level 70.

You need level 70 and Revered with Cenarion Expedition. Then you can buy the Coilfang Heroic key 30623 from the Cenarion Expedition quartermaster.

The three bosses are Hydromancer Thespia, Mekgineer Steamrigger, and Warlord Kalithresh.

On the final boss, Warlord Kalithresh, your group must swap and destroy the distillers whenever he channels them. If he finishes a channel, he gains a huge buff and the fight snowballs fast, especially on Heroic.

The Second Key Fragment for the Karazhan attunement chain is inside The Steamvault. It is in the pool of water just to the right of Hydromancer Thespia.

There is a Steamvault quest that begins from a random drop inside the dungeon (9764 via 24367), and there are also quests tied to larger chains, including Karazhan and the Illidari-Bane weapon chain. If you are running Steamvault while leveling, always check your bags for quest-start items before you leave.

Yes. Steamvault has strong dungeon loot and is a popular stop for fresh 70s, especially because the trash is usually manageable and the boss mechanics are straightforward once your group handles adds and distillers cleanly.

Heroic hits much harder and mistakes get punished fast. Assign interrupts for Steamrigger’s technicians, keep moving out of dangerous ground effects, and on Kalithresh assign a caller so your group never misses a distiller swap.
