Horde: quests to pick up before entering

1. The Wrath of Rath’mael: Get it from Deathguard Kristof at the leatherworking/skinning camp southeast of Brill, on the road outside Undercity. Kill Rath’mael in the dungeon. Choose a Forsaken Greataxe or Gnarled Necromancer’s Staff; the beta data also lists 150 Undercity reputation. Available from level 15.
2. Light’s Justice: Speak to Morbin Lightbane in Undercity’s Royal Quarters, near Sylvanas. Collect 25 Intact Limbs inside the dungeon. Choose The Stitcher or Spare Part Bindings; also 2,200 XP, 45 silver and 150 Undercity reputation. Available from level 15.
3. A Frightened Request: Pick it up from Tabitha Heartweaver at the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Find out what happened to Edward Heartweaver in the ruins, then return to Tabitha at the Sepulcher. Choose Edwards’ Knife or Tabitha’s Cuffs; also 2,200 XP and 150 Undercity reputation. Available from level 15.
4. The New Plague: Speak to Theodore Griffs in Undercity’s Apothecarium. Collect the Highly Toxic Strain from Witherfang, the spider boss. Choose Plaguefang or Blight Gloves; also 2,600 XP. Available from level 16. A reported prerequisite has not been confirmed.

Horde: quests that start inside the dungeon

• Unending Torment: Loot the Abominable Head from the abomination boss to start the quest. Take it to someone in Undercity; the precise recipient still needs verification. The documented first step grants 1,650 XP and leads to a follow-up chain. Available from level 16.
• Crest of Lordaeron: Find and use the Crest of Lordaeron item inside the instance. Deliver it to Oran Snakewrithe in Undercity for a Small Sack of Gems and 2,600 XP. Players have reported the crest in different rooms, including a tower near the entrance and an area near the abomination boss. Its spawn rules are not confirmed. Available from level 16.

Alliance quests documented in the beta

These four Alliance quest entries appear in beta quest data. Their exact pickup routes and in-game availability still need a playthrough check.

• Abominable Creatures: Obtain the Head of the Baron in Ruins of Lordaeron and deliver it to Captain Truman. The starting NPC is not established. Choose Monstrous Cleaver, Grave Shroud or Slain Baron’s Signet; also 1,650 XP. Available from level 16.
• Bloodied Insignia: A Bloodied Insignia starts this quest. Collect 10 Bloodied Insignias and bring them to General Marcus Jonathan in Stormwind City. Choose Duty Bound Leggings or Remembrance Armor; also 2,600 XP and 45 silver. Available from level 16.
• Remember That I Love You: A Blood-Stained Letter found in the ruins starts this quest. Deliver it to Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind City. The documented first step lists 2,600 XP and a follow-up quest. Available from level 15.
• Crest of Lordaeron: The Alliance version starts from a Crest of Lordaeron item. Bring it to Lady Dena Kennedy in Stormwind City for a Small Sack of Gems and 2,600 XP. Available from level 16.
