The Blood Furnace entrance is located in Hellfire Citadel in Hellfire Peninsula at 46, 51 in The Burning Crusade Classic. It sits on the upper level of Hellfire Citadel near the other dungeons in the hub, Hellfire Ramparts is the nearby “starter” wing.

Heroic Blood Furnace Requirements
Heroic requires Level 70 and Revered with Honor Hold (Alliance) or Thrallmar (Horde) to buy 30622 from the Quartermaster.

Bosses
The Maker
Simple fight, but it can get messy fast if Mind Control lands on the wrong player.
The Maker Strategy
- Be ready to switch to a Mind Controlled target quickly: 30923.
- Watch positioning so the knockback does not punt you into extra trash: 30925.
- Heroic: knockback damage is noticeably higher. Keep the group topped and backs to walls.
The Maker Abilities
Broggok
Fight waves of orcs before the boss emerges. Respect poison zones and keep the room controlled. Most wipes here are “stood in green” incidents. He is one of the hardest Heroic bosses due to the orc waves in Phase 1.
Broggok Strategy
- Avoid the green floor effects and give yourself room to move.
- Tank faces the boss away from the party to reduce cleave risk.
- Ranged and healers play max distance to reduce random pressure.
- Heroic: poison and spell damage spikes harder. Move early and use defensives sooner. CC waves of orcs in Phase 1.
Broggok Abilities
Keli’dan the Breaker
Clear the channelers cleanly, remove their Magic Debuff: Mark of Shadow, then watch for boss spells. Shadow Protection helps.
Keli’dan the Breaker Strategy
- Kill the five 17653 first. The boss activates after the last one dies.
- Ranged stay spread.
- “Come closer!” – run out of range to avoid big damage.
- Heroic: damage is much less forgiving. Move early and treat every cast like it can kill.

Trash TL;DR
- Trash hits harder here than Ramparts, especially if casters free-cast.
- Interrupt aggressively and line-of-sight pulls when you can.
- Give poison effects room and do not fight in bad ground.
