Account-wide progression
How the WoW Forever Legacy System Works
Legacy has three parts: complete Challenges to earn Legacy Points, spend those points on character-specific Perks, and unlock account-wide Rewards as your total rises. There are 65 launch Challenges across classes, tradeskills, PvP, adventure, dungeons, and raids. You can earn enough points to reach the launch spending cap on one character; alts are optional.
Earn points
Each completed Legacy Challenge grants one account-wide point to non-Hardcore characters. Your first point unlocks the system, commonly at level 25 or through tradeskill or exploration progress.
Choose perks
Spend up to 16 points per character at launch across the Professions, Adventure, and Resourcefulness trees. Each character can choose a different setup.
Collect rewards
Accumulated points unlock cosmetics and toys, including the Spectral Bear Cub, Spectral Bear Tabard, Spectral Bear mount, and Replica Ironforge Air Rifle.
Open Legacy with the shield icon on the game menu or the default Y hotkey after earning your first point.

Professions and Camping
Profession updates
Forever keeps the familiar Classic crafting structure while adding more than 600 recipes and revising existing ones across leveling ranges. Non-gathering primary professions also award Legacy Points at skill 150, 225, and 300.
Campsites
Place a campfire in the outdoor world to create a shared campsite. Players can rest there and add profession-made objects for useful services and buffs. Similar class and campsite buffs do not stack.
Legacy perks connect these systems: Working Overtime helps tradeskill skill-ups, Bountiful Harvest improves chances for extra scarce resources, and Field Guide reduces the cooldown for placing camping features. See the profession changes overview for more details.
PvP progression
Revamped PvP Honor and Field of Honor
Forever’s PvP progression is part of Legacy. The launch Challenge list awards up to 12 Legacy Points for reaching ranks 3, 7, 10, 13, and 14; becoming Exalted with battleground reputations; and completing week 4, 7, and 10 quests in the Field of Honor PvP Season’s Journey. The For Great Honor Legacy perk increases Honor earned from PvP.

Do I need alts to unlock Legacy perks?
No. Blizzard says one character can earn enough Legacy Points to reach the 16-point launch spending cap. Alts provide more ways to progress.
Are Legacy Points shared across characters?
Yes. Earned points are account-wide for non-Hardcore characters, but each character spends them independently.
Is camping a profession?
Camping is a shared outdoor system that uses profession-crafted objects; it is not a separate primary profession.
