TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 Officially Launches August 27
Blizzard has officially announced that Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Phase 3 will launch globally on August 27, 2026, bringing Black Temple, the Battle for Mount Hyjal, Netherwing reputation content, Arena Season 3, and Epic Gems to the game.
This announcement corrects the previously reported August 13 date discussed in our article about the TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3 release date leak. That date originated from a Blizzard Customer Support Discord message but has now been confirmed to be incorrect.

TBC Classic Phase 3 Release Time
According to Blizzard’s official Phase 3 announcement, the new content will unlock simultaneously around the world.
Global Launch: August 27 at 3:00 p.m. PDT / 23:00 BST
For players in the Eastern Time Zone, the global launch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT on August 27.
What Is Coming in TBC Classic Anniversary Phase 3?
Phase 3 continues the journey through Outland with two Tier 6 raids, a new daily quest and reputation hub, the beginning of Arena Season 3, and additional ways to improve endgame gear.
- Black Temple: Enter Illidan Stormrage’s fortress and face the Betrayer alongside eight other raid bosses. Make sure your character is prepared with our Black Temple attunement guide.

Prepare for Black Temple and Mount Hyjal
Illidan Stormrage has claimed the Black Temple as his fortress and is building an army of fel warriors in his pursuit of power. Beginning August 27, players will be able to infiltrate the temple, confront Illidan, and continue their progression through some of the most iconic raid content in Burning Crusade Classic.
Players planning to raid during the opening weeks should complete the necessary attunement questlines ahead of launch. Review the Black Temple attunement requirements and Mount Hyjal attunement requirements so your character is ready when Phase 3 goes live.
