This week, we received some WoW Classic updates, particularly around Hardcore WoW Classic Era 1.14.4 development. To sum things up:
CLASSIC
- Classic Era – 1.14.4 PTR Development Notes: The latest updates were posted on Thursday, which included bug fixes, changes to the String of Ears buff, PTR downtime, and the upcoming “Brawl with the Blues” event (more details coming soon).
- Classic Hardcore – PTR Jumping Issue Resolved: On Monday, an issue where PTR characters could be disconnected while jumping was resolved.
- Actions Against Exploitative Accounts: Over 120,000 actions were taken against exploitative WoW accounts in June.
One of the most notable points was the level 60 testing coming to the PTR!
Testing Focus
- We will bring the Hardcore PTR realm down on Thursday, July 13. It will then be unavailable for approximately 7 days until July 20.
- At the same time, we will open a Normal Classic Era PTR realm with level 60 character templates enabled for PvP testing.
- We will publish a full explainer on the revamped Classic Era honor system.
- We will also host a “Brawl with the Blues” event on Friday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. PDT—more details coming soon!
Will you test out level 60 gameplay? Many players took to the PTR just to see what the death experience was like at level 1! Hundreds of corpses littered the starting zones on the PTR.
