The anticipation is high as we await Classic WoW news. A patch 1.15 was recently added to the Classic Era launcher. Unfortunately, it’s encrypted, making it impossible to data mine what it contains. However, speculation among Classic players is running wild. Could it be the long-awaited Hardcore Realms or the highly anticipated Season of Mastery 2? Some are even hopeful for true Classic Plus content.
Interestingly, the Source Code for Patch 10.1 includes references to “Hardcore” Realm types, which has many players excited. Additionally, Blizzard has hinted at a Season of Mastery 2 in multiple Developer Interviews. Fans of Classic Era have been eagerly waiting for the next installment of Season of Mastery since they shut down servers back in February of 2023.
WoW content creator MrGM was among the first to tweet out the news of the Patch 1.15 update, with a very curious response from former WoW Classic lead and WoW Veteran, Brian Burmingham:
