What happens to the WoW Classic Anniversary servers if Blizzard announces WoW Classic Plus? In this episode of the Warcraft Brew podcast, Quissy and Pasta discuss that question, the latest Project Camelot activity, upcoming TBC Classic content and the biggest stories from the Classic community.

We also continue our discussion of the community-led Classic+ survey, picking up where the previous episode ended and finishing the remaining introductory questions. Along the way, we clear up one of the most common comments from Part One: no, we are not twins, sisters or cousins – although the new matching piercings probably will not help our case.

STONECORE Clears Molten Core With Self-Found Dwarves

The race-locked guild STONECORE cleared Molten Core on the Skull Rock Hardcore realm using an all-Dwarf roster and the Self-Found ruleset. Self-Found characters cannot trade, use the Auction House or send items through the mail. Their equipment, consumables, profession materials and gold must come from quests, vendors or items they personally obtain.

That achievement led us to consider which race would face the greatest challenge in a race-locked raid. Dwarves have access to Priests and Paladins, while Gnomes have no healing class at all. On the Horde side, Orcs would rely entirely on Shaman healing, while Undead groups would depend on Priests.

TBC Classic Anniversary Phase Three Arrives August 27

TBC Classic Anniversary Phase Three launches on August 27, 2026, bringing Black Temple, Hyjal Summit, Netherwing reputation content, Arena Season Three and Epic Gems. Players preparing for the phase can use our guides for the Black Temple attunement, Hyjal Summit attunement and the complete Netherwing reputation grind.

The larger question is what happens afterward. If Classic Plus is announced around BlizzCon, will players continue progressing on Anniversary realms, divide their time between both versions or leave TBC behind for the new experience?

Will Classic Plus Replace the Anniversary Servers?

A Classic Plus launch would compete for many of the same players currently invested in the Anniversary progression cycle. Some players may want to finish TBC and continue into Wrath, while others may view Classic+ as the fresh start they have been waiting for.

Blizzard could reduce that conflict through staggered release schedules, transfers or clearly separated progression plans. Until the company officially announces Classic Plus – or explains what follows TBC Anniversary – the future of those characters and communities remains an open question.

Could MoP Classic Continue Into Warlords of Draenor?

Mists of Pandaria Classic is approaching the end of its current progression cycle with Siege of Orgrimmar. We discuss whether Blizzard will continue into Warlords of Draenor Classic and revisit one of that expansion’s most debated systems: Garrisons. Although Garrisons isolated players from the wider world, their personal and customizable spaces could also feel surprisingly comfortable – especially for more introverted players.

D&D: World of Warcraft Brings Azeroth to the Tabletop

Blizzard has also announced D&D: World of Warcraft, scheduled for release on November 17 with early access beginning November 3. The release includes rules inspired by all 13 WoW classes, 16 playable species, more than 60 spells, 50 monsters, 30 dungeon bosses, seven reimagined dungeons and an Icecrown Citadel adventure.

The featured dungeons include Azjol-Nerub, Blackfathom Deeps, Deadmines, Dire Maul, Onyxia’s Lair, Scarlet Monastery and Shadowfang Keep, giving tabletop groups several recognizable Warcraft settings in which to begin their campaigns.

What Do the New Project Camelot Builds Mean?

The mysterious encrypted WoW 1.60 build continues to receive updates across Blizzard’s internal testing environments. Because the files remain encrypted, dataminers can track build numbers and deployment locations but cannot inspect most of the actual content.

The build has reportedly been associated with the unannounced Project Camelot, which many players believe could be Blizzard’s internal name for Classic Plus. Recent movement across multiple testing environments – along with a brief appearance on a vendor CDN – may suggest expanded development or quality-assurance testing.

None of this confirms a Classic Plus alpha, beta, release date or BlizzCon announcement. Blizzard has not revealed what Project Camelot is or confirmed that it is connected to Classic Plus. Read our full breakdown of the latest Project Camelot testing activity.

Continuing the Classic Plus Community Survey

After the news roundup, we return to the community survey from The Classic+ Project and continue where Part One ended. The survey provides a useful framework for comparing different visions of Classic+, from preserving the original design almost completely to introducing new content and carefully selected modern conveniences.

The Classic+ Project is community-led and is not an official Blizzard survey. Its questions do not confirm any planned feature, but they highlight the difficult decisions Blizzard would face when deciding which parts of Classic should remain untouched and where new development could begin.
