Classic Hardcore servers live Aug 24th, new 1.14.4 PvP system Aug 23rd

WoW Classic is getting two major updates this August!

Classic Era 1.14.4 PvP updates going live

On August 23, the 1.14.4 content update will go live, retiring the old Honor system and introducing the new one! Any ranking progress you make after that date will not be retained. We previously highlighted the updates to the PvP ranking system: WoW Classic PvP Ranking Updates in Patch 14.4.4:

  • No more ranking, bracket stacking, or pool boosting. Just earn honor.
  • There is a maximum amount of honor that you can earn each week. Currently 750K honor per week is the cap.
  • As of writing this post, it will take a minimum of 8 weeks to reach rank 14 (this is slightly longer than SoM, but shorter than original)
  • You can lose progress within your rank, but you can never de-rank (if you hit rank 14, then you are permanently a High Warlord/Grand Marshal)
  • Because of the above point, you can hit rank 10, take a few weeks/months/even a year off, then come back and pick up where you left off!

Classic Hardcore Realms launch August 24th

On August 24, Hardcore realms will open! These realms are a new challenge for players who want to experience the true danger of Azeroth, where once you die on a Hardcore realm, your character is permanently deleted!

Are you ready for the challenge?
