The Feast of Winter Veil has returned to Azeroth with festive decorations, holiday quests, seasonal rewards, and limited-time activities for players across Retail WoW, WoW Classic, and 20th Anniversary realms.

Winter Veil runs from December 15 through January 2 in Retail, and December 16 through January 2 on WoW Classic and 20th Anniversary realms. Initial holiday quests start in Orgrimmar and Ironforge, while decorations and festivities can be found throughout the world.

What’s New for Winter Veil 2025

Winter Veil is more than city decorations. This year’s event includes updated rewards, returning favorites, and festive twists across Azeroth.

Holiday Quests and Seasonal Activities

• Pick up initial Winter Veil quests in Orgrimmar or Ironforge
• Find festive decorations in major cities and inns around Azeroth
• Open presents on December 25 to see what Greatfather Winter has left under the tree

Holiday Transmog, Toys, and Pets

Holiday vendors offer seasonal transmog options, including Festive Red and Festive Green set pieces such as coats, vests, sweaters, shirts, pants, shorts, boots, and belts. Players can also collect seasonal toys and battle pets during the event.

The Abominable Greench Returns

The Abominable Greench is back in Hillsbrad Foothills with fresh rewards. Players can challenge him daily and take advantage of a festive travel option: a sleigh ride from Dornogal to Ironforge or Orgrimmar for a connecting flight to rescue Metzen.

Festive Bosses Across Azeroth

A variety of bosses across Azeroth have joined the seasonal theme with holiday hats, decorations, and event loot. While they may look festive, their difficulty and mechanics remain the same.

Winter Veil Achievements: Use /kiss at Inns

While participating in Winter Veil, use /kiss on a Winter Reveler found under mistletoe in inns around Azeroth. You may receive Mistletoe, Fresh Holly, or Handful of Snowflakes, which can be used for various Winter Veil achievements.

Event Favorites: Pepe and Giant Snow Globes

• Visit the Smokywood Pastures cart in Ironforge or Orgrimmar and click Greatfeather Pepe to obtain A Tiny Winter Hat. When you summon Pepe during the event, he may appear in a Winter Veil outfit.
• Step into one of the Giant Snow Globes outside the Ironforge Bank, in Orgrimmar overlooking the Valley of Wisdom, or in Dalaran (Broken Isles). Use /dance to spread the festive effect to nearby players.

Feast of Winter Veil in WoW Classic and 20th Anniversary Realms

On WoW Classic and 20th Anniversary realms, Winter Veil runs from December 16 through January 2. Initial holiday quests begin in Orgrimmar and Ironforge, with decorations found throughout the world. Remember to open presents on December 25 to see the surprises Greatfather Winter has left for you.
