The Eye Raid Guide TBC Classic (Tempest Keep Boss Strategy)
The Eye is a 25-player raid in The Burning Crusade Classic located inside Tempest Keep in Netherstorm. This raid features four encounters culminating in the iconic battle against Kael’thas Sunstrider.
The Eye drops important Tier 5 tokens, powerful weapons, and progression gear needed for late Phase 2 raiding. Alongside Serpentshrine Cavern, The Eye serves as one of the main Tier 5 raids in TBC Classic and represents a major difficulty jump from Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, and Magtheridon’s Lair.
This guide is intentionally concise and designed for players who want a quick refresher on core mechanics, raid preparation, and Tempest Keep boss strategy.

Al’ar
Strategy
- PHASE 1 – Tank pull from left ramp

- When this happens, adds spawn below
- Melee DPS adds down to 10-20% – do not kill until Phase 2
- Ranged stay on Al’ar
- Sometimes Al’ar will cast Flame Quills
- Tanks need to jump down ASAP
- Tanks need to get back to their designated platform after

- When this happens, adds spawn below
- Tank, stand near a pillar to avoid raid-wide AoE from Flame Buffet

- Kill all remaining adds, careful of AoE damage and knockback to the raid after they die
- Tanks must swap when they get Melt Armor
- Avoid Flame Patch fire on the ground
- Raid spread out to avoid Dive Bomb
- This causes a knockback and 2 adds to spawn
- Kill adds ASAP

Void Reaver
Strategy
- Mostly a tank + spank

- Ranged need to spread out and avoid Arcane Orbs
- Threat control is the real boss here
Notes

- AoE down Solarium Agent adds
- Solarian returns after 15 seconds with two Solarium Priests
- Cleave down adds, interupt their heals
- PHASE 3 – When Solarian reaches 20% health
- Tank + spank with AoE fears
Notes
- There is no threat table until Phase 3
- Tremor Totem, Fear Ward, Berserker Rage to mitigate fears in Phase 3

- PHASE 2 – Starts after Telonicus dies
- Destroy the legendary weapons that spawn
