Best Fel Iron Ore Farming Routes

Hellfire Peninsula is the best place to farm Fel Iron Ore in TBC Classic because every mining node in the zone is Fel Iron, with a rare chance to spawn as Khorium. Unlike later Outland zones that contain a mix of Fel Iron and Adamantite deposits, Hellfire Peninsula provides the highest concentration of Fel Iron Ore.

Farming Fel Iron Ore in Hellfire Peninsula

Hellfire Peninsula is by far the most efficient zone for farming Fel Iron Ore. Because there are no Adamantite deposits competing for spawn locations, nearly every mining node you encounter will be Fel Iron.

Node respawn timers are fast enough that you don’t need to circle the entire zone continuously. Following one side of the map or alternating between two shorter farming loops is often enough to keep mining without long periods of downtime.

Alternative: Farming Fel Iron Ore in Terokkar Forest

Terokkar Forest is a good alternative if you also want to collect Adamantite Ore while farming. Although you’ll find fewer Fel Iron nodes overall than in Hellfire Peninsula, the mixed ore spawns can make it worthwhile for players looking for multiple ore types.

Alternative: Farming Fel Iron Ore in Zangarmarsh

Zangarmarsh is another viable alternative, though it generally yields fewer Fel Iron nodes than Hellfire Peninsula. Its main advantage is the simplicity of the route, making it easy to follow while casually farming.

Be sure to enter both caves along the route and mine them completely. Fel Iron nodes can spawn all the way at the back of each cave and are easy to miss if you only check the entrance.
