Mote of Fire Farming Guide
This Mote of Fire farming guide shows the best routes and locations for farming Mote of Fire in TBC Classic. Combine 10 Motes of Fire to create Primal Fire.
Best Mote of Fire Farming Routes
The best place to farm Mote of Fire is at the Throne of Kil’jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula. Incandescent Fel Sparks respawn very quickly, making this the most consistent Mote of Fire farming location. Other good alternatives include Nagrand, Shadowmoon Valley, and Blade’s Edge Mountains.
Farming Mote of Fire in Hellfire Peninsula
Killing Incandescent Fel Sparks at the Throne of Kil’jaeden in Hellfire Peninsula is the best way to farm Mote of Fire. The respawn rate is fast enough that you will almost never run out of mobs to kill.
Watch out for Felblood Initiates. These mobs are unkillable and will always remain at 1 HP, so it is best to avoid wasting time fighting them.
Farming Mote of Fire in Nagrand
Raging Fire-Souls in Nagrand are another good source of Mote of Fire. However, their respawn rate is slower than the Incandescent Fel Sparks in Hellfire Peninsula, so you may have to wait for respawns if you kill them too quickly or if other players are farming the area.
Farming Mote of Fire in Shadowmoon Valley
Enraged Fire Spirits in Shadowmoon Valley have a lower Mote of Fire drop rate than the previous two farming spots, and they usually only drop one Mote of Fire at a time. Even so, this is a worthwhile backup location if the more popular farms are heavily contested.
Farming Mote of Fire in Blade’s Edge Mountains
Searing Elementals in Blade’s Edge Mountains also drop Mote of Fire, although the drop rate is lower than the other locations on this page. Even so, this has always been one of my favorite farming spots because it is often much quieter than the more popular locations, making it a relaxing place to farm when you want to avoid competition.
Mote of Fire Farming Notes
- Combine 10 Motes of Fire to create one Primal Fire.
- Hellfire Peninsula is the best overall zone thanks to the fast respawn rate of Incandescent Fel Sparks.
- Nagrand is a strong alternative, though you may have to wait for respawns.
- Shadowmoon Valley is a reliable backup if the other farming locations are crowded.
- Blade’s Edge Mountains has a lower drop rate, but it’s one of my favorite places to farm because it’s often less crowded.
